Four People Wounded, Including Youngest at 10 Years Old, in Shooting in Southeast Houston
Authorities in Houston are investigating a shooting incident that left four individuals injured, with the youngest victim being just 10 years old. The incident occurred on Thursday night in southeast Houston, along Collier Street.
According to Houston police, three masked men approached a home on Collier Street around 9 p.m. They attempted to gain entry into the residence, and when the front door was opened, two of the suspects opened fire inside the house.
The victims, all juveniles aged 10, 14, 15, and 16, sustained injuries in various parts of their bodies, including extremities and abdomen. They were immediately transported to the hospital, although their current conditions remain unknown.
Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene on foot. Houston Police Assistant Chief Megan Howard stated that no information about a possible getaway vehicle is available at this time. Investigators believe the incident was targeted and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
