Dallas Man Indicted on Sex Trafficking Charges for Allegedly Tattooing Victims
A shocking case of sex trafficking has come to light, with Donald Roberson, a 29-year-old man from Dallas, accused of heinous crimes against two young female victims. The victims, aged 17 and 18, were allegedly forced into prostitution in New York, beaten, and even tattooed with Roberson’s nickname on their faces.
The charges against Roberson include sex trafficking of a child, sex trafficking, promotion of prostitution, possession of a weapon, criminal sexual act, sexual abuse, and sexual misconduct, as reported by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.
Roberson is said to have met the victims through Instagram and then transported them from Dallas to New York in August. Upon arrival, he coerced them into prostitution at a hotel where he had rented a room.
After a few days, Roberson took the victims to a tattoo parlor and had his nickname, “Blue Cheese,” tattooed on their faces. The situation took a violent turn when Roberson physically assaulted the 17-year-old victim, causing her to suffer a seizure, and later stabbed her with scissors.
The brutality didn’t stop there. The other victim was choked, punched, and left unable to breathe by Roberson. In a desperate attempt to escape, the 17-year-old locked herself in a car, only to have Roberson break the window, causing cuts and burns with a torch lighter.
Fortunately, the teen managed to send a distress signal to someone back in Texas, leading to the swift response of Brooklyn police officers who rescued her and arrested Roberson.
In a statement, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez condemned the atrocities committed by Roberson, vowing to ensure justice for the victims. “The brutality these victims endured is appalling, and we will work diligently to ensure that he is held accountable for the inhumanity he inflicted,” Gonzalez said.
