The Astros’ Alex Bregman Takes a Break

The Houston Astros have been dominating the game recently, but unfortunately, they may have to play without their star third baseman, Alex Bregman, for a few games.

Bregman recently revealed that a bad night’s sleep resulted in him missing upcoming games. Mauricio Dubón will be stepping in for him at third base for the next game.

According to MLB.com, Bregman started experiencing pain in his arm while the team was in Tampa, leading to this decision to rest and recover.

Both Bregman and manager Joe Espada have expressed confidence that this minor setback won’t keep Bregman away from the game for long. Bregman explained, “I slept on it wrong, but I should be back in a few days feeling strong and ready to play. There’s no serious damage to worry about.”

Espada added, “We definitely want Bregman on the field every day, but I have faith in the team we have now. They’re giving their all to bring us victories.”

Despite this temporary setback, Bregman has been having an impressive season, hitting .261 with 19 home runs and 59 RBIs. Just last week, he and teammate Yordan Alvarez were named co-Players of the Week in the American League.

This weekend, the Astros are facing off against the struggling Chicago White Sox. While Houston is riding an incredible eight-game winning streak and leading their division by three games, the White Sox have been struggling with a dismal 29-93 record, including a recent record-tying 21 consecutive losses.
