Vigil for Ridge Point grad who passed away in North Carolina

Losing a loved one is never easy, especially when they had their whole life ahead of them. Terrance Howard, a bright and talented 19-year-old, was tragically killed when he was hit by a car in North Carolina. He was on his way to check on another driver after an accident when the unthinkable happened.

Terrance’s family, friends, and coaches gathered at Ridge Point High School to honor and remember him. His mother, Matishe Allen, shared heartfelt words about her son, expressing both pain and peace in the midst of her grief.

Despite the tragedy, Terrance’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a standout athlete at Ridge Point High School, excelling in both football and track. His future was bright, with plans to continue his football career at North Carolina Central on a full scholarship.

Terrance’s father, also named Terrance Howard, fondly recalled his son’s accomplishments and the impact he had on the community. He spoke of Terrance’s leadership qualities and his bright future as a coach or broadcaster.

The outpouring of support from the community, as well as NC Central and Alabama, has been overwhelming for Terrance’s family. They are grateful for the love and remembrance shown for their beloved son.

Purple ribbons and balloons filled the sky in honor of Terrance, symbolizing the impact he had on those around him. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew him.
