University of Houston Student Robbed at Gunpoint Inside Dorm

According to the University of Houston Police Department (UHPD), a disturbing incident took place early Tuesday morning at Moody Tower on campus. A student was robbed at gunpoint inside his own dorm room.

It was approximately 4 a.m. when the student left his room to go to the restroom. Upon his return, he was shocked to find two men going through his belongings. Without hesitation, the suspects brandished a gun at the student, leaving him terrified and helpless.

As the situation escalated, the student fell to the floor, causing his phone to slip out of his pocket. One of the suspects swiftly grabbed the phone and made a run for it, disappearing down stairwell D. Despite the student’s efforts, the suspects managed to escape and were last seen near the northwest emergency door of the dorm.

Thankfully, the student did not sustain any physical injuries during the ordeal. However, the manner in which the suspects gained access to the dorm remains a mystery. University of Houston police are actively investigating the incident and working to ensure the safety of all students on campus.
