Shooting at Bauer Pocket Park in Houston



Recently, a tragic incident occurred at Bauer Pocket Park in northwest Houston, where two individuals lost their lives in a shooting.

Details reveal that the unfortunate event took place around 1:10 p.m. at Bauer Pocket Park on Bauer Park Dr. near Hammerly Boulevard in the Spring Branch area.

The Houston Police Department has identified the victims as a 16-year-old male and a 24-year-old male, although their names have not been disclosed.

According to HPD, the two victims were involved in an altercation that escalated into a deadly exchange of gunshots, with robbery appearing to be the motive behind the incident.

A juvenile witness, found a few blocks away from the crime scene, was taken in for questioning by authorities.

Assistant Chief Alvaro Guzman commended the witnesses and law enforcement for swiftly locating the juvenile witness without any issues.

In a sad turn of events, a gun was discovered near the body of the older victim, as reported by HPD.

Witnesses recount hearing multiple gunshots and observing the suspect’s actions with the firearm in broad daylight, conveying a sense of shock and fear.

Community members expressed their sadness and disbelief at the incident, highlighting the impact it has had on the neighborhood and families present at the park.
