University of Houston Kelvin Sampson to host free coaches’ clinic

Coach Kelvin Sampson of the University of Houston is organizing a complimentary coaching clinic for high school, middle school, and AAU coaches at the Fertitta Center on October 12. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in skills development sessions led by Sampson and his coaching staff, followed by observing and engaging in a practice session with the Cougars as they gear up for the upcoming season. TSU athletic administrator publishes book about cancer fight


Dr. Dwalah Fisher, assistant athletic director and senior women’s administrator at Texas Southern University, recently released a memoir detailing her personal battle with breast cancer titled “Coached by Cancer: The MVP Was Me.” Fisher, a recipient of numerous accolades, shares the life lessons and resilience she gained through her experience fighting cancer, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and remembrance. As a former standout volleyball player and coach at TSU, Fisher’s journey serves as an inspiration to many.

Danielle Hunter sets defensive tone

TSU volleyball player earns SWAC honors


Kennedi Walker, a freshman from Elkins High School attending Texas Southern University, was recognized as the SWAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for her outstanding performance, registering 127 assists over the course of a week.
