In a tragic turn of events, Garcia Glen White, 61, is scheduled to be executed for the heinous murders of twin 16-year-old sisters in Houston back in 1989. The case also involves three other deaths, including that of Dewante Washington’s sister.
The Gruesome Murder of Twin Sisters
Garcia White was convicted of brutally killing Annette and Bernette Edwards, twin sisters, along with their mother, Bonita Edwards, in December 1989. The family was stabbed to death in their Houston apartment, leaving a community in shock and mourning.
At the same time, 27-year-old Greta Williams was found beaten to death and rolled up in a carpet inside a vacant house, adding to the list of White’s alleged victims.
A Heartbreaking Loss
Dewante Washington, sister of one of White’s victims, shared memories of her beloved sister who tragically lost her life at a young age shortly after moving to Houston. She recalled the joyous times they spent together, playing, and biking, creating a bond that could not be broken.
Washington revealed that she keeps Greta’s ashes in a box, waiting to spread them back in their hometown of Chicago once justice is served for her sister’s murder.
An Emotional Journey to Closure
Washington and her siblings traveled to witness White’s execution, a moment they have been waiting for, to bring some closure to the painful chapter in their lives. She expressed mixed emotions, a blend of relief and sadness, as they prepare to bid farewell to the man responsible for their immense loss.
