Manhunt for Houston Movie Theater Shooter
Authorities in Harris County, Texas are on the lookout for a man accused of a shooting outside an AMC movie theater in the Willowbrook area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, leaving one man injured and the suspect on the run.
According to Houston police, a group of five individuals had gathered at the theater to watch a movie. As they were leaving, a dispute erupted over a missing phone, eventually escalating into a confrontation between two men in a breezeway near the parking lot. Shots were fired, with the alleged shooter fleeing the scene along with a female companion in a dark-colored SUV or Jeep.
Despite two witnesses remaining at the scene, no one saw the actual shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe they know the identity of the suspect and are urging him to surrender and explain his version of events. “He needs to come in and tell us what occurred,” stated HPD Lt. R. Willkens.
Interestingly, the missing phone that sparked the altercation was later recovered, further complicating the motive behind the violent incident.
