Shooting in Pearland: Shots fired at man walking dog

Imagine taking a peaceful walk with your dog in the early morning, only to find yourself in the line of gunfire. This terrifying experience became a reality for one man in Pearland, Texas.

According to investigators, the victim stumbled upon a suspect in the act of breaking into his car. In a moment of panic, shots rang out as the suspect tried to evade capture.

The incident occurred on Inland Drive, just west of Harkey Road and south of Magnolia Parkway. The man recounted that he noticed a light on in his vehicle and spotted an individual dressed in dark clothing standing in the street during his 4:20 a.m. walk with his dog.

Upon realizing that he had caught the burglar in the act, the suspect reacted aggressively and fired over a dozen shots at the victim. Miraculously, the victim managed to seek cover behind a trash can, escaping unharmed except for minor cuts to his elbow and knee.

The suspect fled the scene, heading north along Inland Road. Reports indicate that multiple individuals were involved in the break-ins, with at least three suspects captured on video footage.
