NEW YORK – Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to appear in court on Tuesday to face federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. According to an indictment, the music mogul has been accused of a “persistent and pervasive pattern of abuse towards women and other individuals.”
Combs was arrested late Monday in Manhattan, following a sex trafficking investigation that led federal authorities to raid his homes in Los Angeles and Miami six months prior.
Legal action has been taken against Combs over the past year by individuals alleging physical or sexual abuse. While he has denied many of these claims, his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, stated that Combs, aged 54, will plead not guilty and vigorously fight for his release from custody.
Latest Updates:
Authorities have identified Combs as the leader of a criminal network involved in various illicit activities such as sex trafficking, forced labor, prostitution, drug offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
The indictment outlines instances where Combs reportedly physically assaulted and mistreated women, as well as engaged his assistants, security personnel, and household staff to conceal these actions.
