Important Recall: High Levels of Vitamin D Found in Infant Formula Sold at H-E-B and CVS

Recently, Perrigo Company has issued a voluntary recall of Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder sold at H-E-B and CVS stores in Texas and other states. This recall was initiated due to elevated levels of vitamin D found during routine testing, though no adverse events have been reported as attributed to the high vitamin D levels.

Perrigo emphasizes that vulnerable infants with impaired renal function or other health issues may face more risks, so it’s crucial to discontinue use if you have purchased any of the recalled products. If your infant experiences any symptoms while using the formula, contact your healthcare provider immediately and report your concerns to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
