Tragic Incident in League City, Texas

League City police are investigating a heartbreaking incident where a woman was found dead on the side of a highway. The victim’s body was discovered in a grassy area on FM 646 by a witness, prompting authorities to shut down the highway for investigation.

The road closure lasted until late evening as officials worked tirelessly to gather information. It is believed that the woman may have been struck by an eastbound vehicle between Wednesday, Sept. 18, and Thursday, Sept. 19. Surveillance cameras and Flock license plate readers are being utilized to piece together the events leading to this tragic death.
