Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to find a stranger in your bedroom. Now, add the terror of being pregnant and feeling utterly defenseless. This nightmare became a reality for a woman in Houston, and the whole horrifying ordeal was captured on surveillance video.

Cesar Garza shared the harrowing story of his eight-month pregnant wife who awoke to discover an intruder in their east Houston home on August 15. Despite the inherent fear and danger of the situation, she remained calm as the man threatened her with a knife.

When she attempted to flee downstairs, the intruder pursued and grabbed her, leading to a frantic struggle in which she repeatedly screamed, “I’m pregnant!” The family’s dogs barked furiously as the man put her in a chokehold and dragged her through the living room, eventually pushing her to the floor.

After managing to break free, the victim ran outside, screaming for help as the intruder made a hasty escape with some valuables and her phone. Garza expressed his deep concern over the audacious nature of the crime, emphasizing the need to catch the perpetrator before he harms others.

Fortunately, despite the traumatic experience, Garza’s wife is physically safe, but she was hospitalized overnight as a precaution due to minor contractions. The suspect, described as a middle-aged man with distinctive facial hair, remains at large.

If you have any information that could help identify this dangerous individual, please contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers immediately at 713-222-8477. Let’s work together to bring this perpetrator to justice and prevent further acts of violence.
