Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to find a stranger standing in your bedroom. This was the terrifying reality for a pregnant woman in Houston who was the victim of a home invasion. The incident, which was captured on surveillance video, left the woman shaken to her core.

According to reports, the woman, who is eight months pregnant, awoke to find a man in her bedroom. Despite her best efforts to escape, the man caught her and pushed her back down on the bed. As she tried to run downstairs, he chased after her, eventually catching her in the living room.

During the struggle, the woman, fearing for her safety and that of her unborn child, screamed, “I’m pregnant! I’m pregnant! I’m pregnant!” Her two small dogs barked furiously as she fought to get away from the intruder.

The robber, armed with a knife, put the woman in a chokehold and dragged her through the house before finally pushing her to the floor. She managed to break free and ran outside, screaming for help as the intruder made his escape with jewelry and her phone.

The victim’s husband, Cesar Garza, expressed his disbelief and anger at the ordeal. “I really want him to get caught because the fact that he did it in broad daylight and the fact that he wasn’t afraid to put his hands on a pregnant woman, you wouldn’t know what he would do to someone who isn’t pregnant,” Garza said.

Thankfully, the woman was physically okay but spent the night in the hospital as a precaution due to minor contractions. The focus now is on the well-being of her unborn baby.

If you have any information about the suspect, please contact the Houston Police Department. Let’s ensure that justice is served for this innocent victim and her unborn child.
