Police Officer Shot While Responding to Home Invasion in Deer Park, Texas
Earlier this morning, a police officer was shot in the Spring Branch area of Deer Park, Texas, while responding to a home invasion. The incident occurred before 10 a.m. on Alderney Drive near Antoine Drive, just north of the Katy Freeway.
The officer was quickly rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital, although the Houston Police Department did not provide any updates on the officer’s condition.
According to the mayor’s office, the officer was shot during the response to the home invasion near the IKEA store along I-10.
A statement from the mayor’s office expressed deep gratitude to the first responders for their dedication and sacrifice in keeping the community safe.
Currently, two people have been detained in connection with the incident, while authorities are still searching for a third suspect. Police are advising residents to avoid the area as investigations continue.
