Have you ever heard of a failed ATM heist resulting in money scattered all over the neighborhood? Well, that’s exactly what happened in Tomball, Texas, early Wednesday morning. According to Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office, two daring thieves attempted to steal an ATM machine but were quickly apprehended.

The incident took place at N. Eldridge Parkway and Spring Cypress Road around 4 a.m. The culprits managed to attach the Wells Fargo ATM to their pickup truck and make a speedy getaway. However, their luck ran out when deputies located the truck within a minute of the theft.

Both suspects fled on foot, but only one was captured shortly after. This individual had existing warrants, including one for aggravated robbery, and will now face charges for stealing from the ATM machine. Unfortunately, the second man managed to evade capture.

Precinct 4 shared photos of the aftermath, showing 100, 20, and 10-dollar bills scattered across the street and a yard where the suspect was apprehended. It’s not every day you see money raining down in your neighborhood!
