ATM Thieves Arrested in Tomball

An ATM theft incident in Tomball took an unexpected turn when the suspects only managed to drive away with over $58,000 before being caught by Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

The thieves attempted to steal a Wells Fargo ATM located at N. Eldridge Parkway and Spring Cypress Road by hooking it to the back of their pickup truck. However, their escape was short-lived as deputies arrived on the scene just after 4 a.m. and spotted the truck within minutes. The suspects abandoned the truck and fled on foot, with one suspect, Earl Williams, quickly apprehended in a nearby residential area.

Williams, who had existing warrants for aggravated robbery, now faces additional charges of second-degree felony theft of an ATM and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. The second suspect managed to evade capture and remains at large.

Precinct 4 shared striking images of scattered bills, including 100, 20, and 10-dollar bills found on the street and in a yard where the suspects were apprehended.
