Houston Therapist Arrested for Attacking Patient

A Houston therapist, Thaddeus Tolbert, 31, was recently arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a disturbing incident with one of his patients. The patient told police that Tolbert attacked her multiple times, leading to the charges against him.

Details of the Incident

Court documents revealed that the victim went to Tolbert’s office on April 29 to end their relationship after discovering that he was married with children. Tolbert, enraged by the situation, pulled out a gun and pinned her against a wall, refusing to let her leave. The victim managed to escape when someone knocked on the door, but Tolbert later showed up at her apartment.

Despite trying to get away, the victim found herself trapped in a terrifying situation. Tolbert, who is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 350 pounds, physically restrained her, choked her, and made threats that left her fearing for her life. The victim’s daughter witnessing the ordeal eventually led to Tolbert leaving.

The victim reported the incident to the police two days later, with visible injuries to support her claims. Tolbert denied any physical altercation but was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.

During a recent court appearance, a judge set Tolbert’s bond at $50,000 on each charge and granted an emergency protection order for the victim. The case is ongoing as investigators gather more evidence and testimonies from witnesses.
