The Court of Arbitration for Sport voided an on-floor appeal by Chiles’ coach, citing a timing technicality that exceeded the scoring inquiries limit.

Water Polo Success and Volleyball Disappointment

The U.S. men’s water polo team put up a strong fight, securing a bronze medal after defeating Hungary in a thrilling 11-8 match. On the other hand, the U.S. women’s volleyball team settled for silver as Italy emerged victorious with a straight-set win.

Medal Count Race

In the overall medal count, the U.S. dominated with 126 medals, including 40 gold, 42 silver, and 44 bronze. China followed closely behind with 91 medals, while Japan and Britain secured their places with 20 golds and 14 golds respectively.
