NEW YORK – It’s been almost two decades since Paris Hilton released her debut album, “Paris,” in 2006. Known for her decadent lifestyle and pop music, Hilton is making a comeback with her latest album, “Infinite Icon,” which delves into the depths of dance music and club culture.
Apart from her musical endeavors, Hilton has been busy with various projects such as a memoir, a documentary, and an upcoming reboot of “The Simple Life.” She has also been actively involved in activism, particularly focusing on reforming Utah’s troubled teen industry following her own experiences of abuse at Provo Canyon School.
In a recent interview, Hilton shared her passion for music, stating, “Someone needed to come and save pop music. So I’m here.” Her new album, “Infinite Icon,” reflects a more introspective side compared to her debut album, with tracks that delve into her personal journey and experiences.
One of the standout tracks on the album is “I’m Free,” featuring Rina Sawayama, a disco-pop anthem celebrating autonomy. Hilton draws inspiration from her own struggles, particularly her time at Provo Canyon School, where music became a source of solace.
For “Infinite Icon,” Hilton collaborated with Sia, who executive produced the record. The album features an all-star team of women, including Megan Trainor, Megan Thee Stallion, and Maria Becerra, emphasizing empowerment and celebrating femininity.
Hilton’s goal with “Infinite Icon” is clear – to create an album that empowers women and embraces individuality. She hopes that listeners will feel like their own unapologetic icon when they listen to the album.
