Fire Breaks Out at Scrapyard Near George Bush Intercontinental Airport

A Fire Incident near George Bush Intercontinental Airport

A thick plume of smoke can be seen for miles on the north side of town as firefighters battle a fire at a scrapyard near George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Harris County, Texas.

The fire broke out around 3 p.m. and the thick smoke from the blaze is visible for miles. The incident is happening at a scrapyard on Chrisman Road, just east of the Hardy Toll Road and inside the Beltway.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the fire or if there are any injuries. Fortunately, the fire did not impact any flights at the airport. The Harris County Fire Marshals Office and several other fire departments are on the scene to help contain the fire.
