Tragic Accident in the Medical Center: Man Run Over by Train
A somber incident unfolded on Thursday night in the bustling Texas Medical Center, resulting in a man losing his life after being struck by a METRORail train.
According to officials from METRO, the tragic event occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. when the man disembarked from a train at the Texas Medical Center Transit station, located at the busy intersection of Fannin Street and Pressler Street.
Upon exiting the train, the man suddenly collapsed and slipped between two cars, leaving him in a perilous position. Tragically, as the train began to move out of the station, it ran over the fallen man, leading to fatal consequences.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the scene but, sadly, the man was pronounced dead on site.
