Liz Cheney Endorses Kamala Harris and Colin Allred

At The Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, Liz Cheney, former U.S. representative and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, announced her endorsement of Democrat Colin Allred in his bid to unseat Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.

Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican, revealed that her father, Dick Cheney, will be voting for Kamala Harris in the upcoming election. This endorsement comes in the midst of Liz Cheney’s vocal criticism of former President Donald Trump, whom she deems unfit for office since the events of January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol.

During her speech, Liz Cheney emphasized the gravity of the current political moment, stating, “There has never been an individual in our country who is as grave a threat to our democracy as Donald Trump is.”
