The Mysterious Disappearance of Karen Miles: Who is Davante Clark?

Recently, a tragic discovery has shaken the community of Harris County, Texas. Family members suspect that the remains found in Missouri City belong to Karen Miles, a beloved grandmother aged 61 years. However, the most concerning aspect of this case is the emergence of Davante Clark as the sole person of interest in her disappearance.

Patricia Evans, Miles’ sister, expressed her bewilderment at this revelation, stating that no one in the family had ever heard of Davante Clark before. The circumstances surrounding Clark’s involvement in the case are equally puzzling.

Clark, a 28-year-old individual, was apprehended by Pearland police while driving a stolen car from Arkansas. Upon closer inspection, the license plate on the vehicle was altered, revealing that it was actually Miles’ vehicle, believed to have been stolen from the Missouri City apartment complex where she resided.

Further investigation uncovered that Clark claimed to have rented the car from an unknown source, leading to his incarceration at the Brazoria County Jail. Surprisingly, court documents reveal a troubling pattern of behavior on Clark’s part.

Texas EquuSearch identified Clark as a person of interest in multiple stolen vehicle cases involving missing individuals. Additionally, he has a history of charges related to evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle, as confirmed by authorities.

Despite these disturbing revelations, the case took an even darker turn when skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area near Fuqua and the Fort Bend County Toll Road. While the authorities have yet to confirm the identity of these remains, Miles’ family members strongly believe that they belong to their missing loved one.

In a poignant statement, Evans expressed a mix of emotions, stating, “I really can’t say, but it is a 99% indication that it is my sister. Every day we kept looking. We hoped she might be alive. It didn’t end that way. It ended the worst way for our family: devastation.”

Now, the family is seeking closure and justice for Karen Miles. A prayer vigil is scheduled to be held in her honor at Emmanuel United Methodist Church on Glen Valley Drive at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
