SUPREMELY IMPORTANT

The importance of voting cannot be understated, especially with the upcoming election on Nov. 5. While there may be doubts and skepticism surrounding the process, it is crucial to exercise our right to vote as a tool for survival. By casting our ballots for candidates like VP Kamala Harris who align with our interests, we create opportunities to advocate for change and progress. The stakes are high, and failure to participate in the democratic process could have severe consequences, particularly when it comes to the composition of the U.S. Supreme Court. It is imperative that we support candidates who will give us a fighting chance to preserve our rights and liberties.

The ongoing challenge of confronting racism disguised within religious institutions echoes Turner’s own struggle against white “Christians” who perpetuated slavery. This tradition of resistance and defiance against racist ideologies has persisted throughout history, and it is encouraging to see more individuals speaking out against such injustices.

The significant financial resources deployed by AIPAC to undermine progressive voices, particularly those advocating for Black interests, highlight the need for greater scrutiny and accountability. It is essential to challenge these power dynamics and resist efforts to stifle dissent and advocacy for marginalized groups.
