Two-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down I-10 in Harris County
Over the weekend, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported a serious two-vehicle accident on I-10 that caused a shutdown in both directions on the east side of town. The crash occurred at Freeport Boulevard around 3 p.m., resulting in one person being ejected from their vehicle.
Although Sheriff Gonzalez did not provide details on the extent of the injuries sustained or if there were any other victims, he did confirm that Life Flight was requested at the scene. The westbound lanes were able to reopen just an hour after the incident, but it remains uncertain how long the entire freeway will be closed for cleanup and investigations.
