Big Traffic Alert: Truck Load Strikes Bridge on South Loop in Houston

If you’re out and about in Houston today, there’s a major traffic alert you need to know about. A truck’s load has struck a bridge along the South Loop, resulting in multiple lane closures. The incident is taking place on the South Loop Westbound near Kirby.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the load being hauled hit the pedestrian bridge that crosses into NRG Park. As of now, there have been no reports of any injuries. However, multiple lanes of 610 westbound have been shut down. TxDOT has dispatched crews to the scene to address the situation.
