PARIS – Get ready for a sensational performance by H.E.R. at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
This five-time Grammy winner is set to grace the stage at the Stade de France and mesmerize the audience with a live rendition of the U.S. national anthem. The performance is part of the handover for the upcoming Los Angeles Summer Games in 2028.
With an impressive collection of accolades, including an Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy awards, the talented 27-year-old from California continues to captivate audiences worldwide. In 2021, she clinched the Grammy for song of the year for her powerful protest anthem, “I Can’t Breathe.”
Additionally, H.E.R. won best original song at the Academy Awards for the soulful track “Fight for You” from the “Judas and the Black Messiah” soundtrack. She co-wrote both award-winning songs and also achieved success with the Netflix animated series “We the People” at the Children’s and Family Emmys.
Apart from her musical achievements, H.E.R. made her mark in acting by starring in the adaptation of “The Color Purple” produced by Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg in 2023. She recently wowed audiences with a guest appearance alongside Usher at the Super Bowl halftime show in February.
The upcoming Summer Games in Los Angeles will mark the city’s third time hosting the Olympics, with previous Games held in 1984 and 1932. It will also be the city’s first time hosting the Paralympics, promising an inspiring and inclusive celebration of sports.
