Heartbreak in Houston: Fiancée of Shooting Victim Pleads for Justice

Tragedy struck a northeast Houston family during a block party when 23-year-old Breon Stuard became one of three victims killed in a senseless act of violence. His fiancée, Ashlyn Winter, is grappling with the devastating loss and praying for justice as she pleads for anyone with information to come forward.

Saturday night turned into a nightmare for Ashlyn, who described the disbelief and emptiness of not having Breon by her side. The loving couple was planning a future together, but now Ashlyn is left to navigate life without the man she loved.

Describing Breon as a genuine soul who could light up a room with his smile, Ashlyn recalled the moment she received the tragic call about his untimely death. The pain of losing him, especially after they had already experienced the loss of their baby last June, is a feeling she never wishes upon anyone.

Despite the heartache, Ashlyn finds solace in leaning on Breon’s mother and sharing their grief as they navigate the difficult emotions that come with such a sudden loss. Together, they hold on to hope and prayer, urging anyone with information about the shooting to speak up and help bring closure to their family.

Alongside Breon, 24-year-old Jarvis Faultry was also a victim of the shooting, with a third victim succumbing to injuries later that night. Despite the tragedy, there is some relief as the other injured partygoers are expected to survive.

Authorities are seeking information about the incident, urging witnesses to contact HPD homicide or Crime Stoppers with any details that could assist in the investigation.

If you have any information regarding the shooting, please reach out to HPD homicide at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
