onstage during a performance in Connecticut last month. The state medical examiner’s office has determined that
the cause of his death was heart disease.
Born Isaac Freeman III, Fatman Scoop, 56, was known for his energetic performances and contributions to the rap
industry. His sudden passing due to hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease has left his fans
in shock and mourning.
Fatman Scoop’s family took to Instagram to express their grief, remembering him as “a radiant soul, a beacon on
stage and in life.” His impact on the music industry was profound, especially with hits like “Be Faithful”
that resonated with audiences worldwide.
