Tragic Wrong-Way Crash Claims Father’s Life and Injures Mother

A devastating wrong-way crash in Sugar Land, Texas has left a Fort Bend County family shaken. Prosper Kiswaga and his wife Pendo Mpiluka Kiswaga were returning home from a community gathering when tragedy struck. A wrong-way driver on Highway 90 collided head-on with their vehicle, claiming Prosper’s life and leaving Pendo severely injured.

The eldest daughter, Catherine Prosper Kiswaga, described her father as a happy and vibrant man who always prioritized spending time with his children. Prosper, a dedicated IT specialist who worked from home, was known for his kindness and generosity. The family’s youngest daughter, Priscilla, expressed disbelief at the sudden loss, reminiscing about the plans they had discussed just the night before.

Both Prosper and Pendo were active members of the community, with strong ties to St. Faustina Catholic Church. They had attended a community event on the fateful night, where they were involved in a tragic accident caused by a wrong-way driver identified as Gonzalo Christian Sosa.

The close-knit family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from friends and the Tanzanian Houston Community. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with funeral and medical expenses for Pendo, who remains hospitalized with severe injuries.

As the family grapples with this heartbreaking loss, they are leaning on their faith for strength and comfort. Despite the challenges ahead, they remain united in honoring Prosper’s memory and supporting Pendo on her road to recovery.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, as the community mourns the loss of a beloved father and grapples with the aftermath of this devastating accident.
