The 96-year-old victim suffered burns over 80% of her body as a result of the intense fire, and was rescued by heroic Houston firefighters who swiftly responded to the emergency.
According to the Houston Fire Department, they received the distress call about the woman trapped in her home on Robertson near Calvacade at 3:15 p.m. The firefighters arrived on the scene within five minutes to carry out the courageous rescue operation.
