Welcome to the Disney Legends Hall of Fame
ANAHEIM, Calif. – Disney is set to honor 14 iconic artists, including Harrison Ford, Angela Bassett, and Miley Cyrus, for their significant contributions to the company.
This year’s Disney Legends lineup includes legends such as James Cameron, John Williams, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kelly Ripa, who have made a lasting impact on Disney’s legacy.
The induction ceremony for this year’s class of Disney Legends will take place on Sunday at The Honda Center in Anaheim, California, as part of the D23 fan convention. The event will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Among the honorees is director James L. Brooks, along with John Williams, known for his iconic film scores for franchises like “Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones.”
Hollywood legend Harrison Ford will be honored once again, this time by Disney, as he joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming film “Captain America: Brave New World.”
Angela Bassett, known for her roles in “Black Panther” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” will also be recognized as a Disney Legend for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
Miley Cyrus, the youngest recipient of the Legends honor, has had a successful career in music following her breakout role in the Disney Channel show “Hannah Montana.”
Jamie Lee Curtis, famous for her roles in various Disney films, will also be celebrated as a Disney Legend. She is set to reprise her role in the sequel to “Freaky Friday.”
ABC talk show host Kelly Ripa will also be honored for her contributions to television and entertainment over the past three decades.
In addition to these artists, Disney will also recognize six behind-the-scenes creatives who have played a pivotal role in Disney’s success.
The Disney Legends Hall of Fame has honored over 300 individuals since its establishment in 1987, including legends like Elton John, Steve Jobs, and Betty White. It continues to celebrate the incredible talents that have shaped Disney’s legacy.
