In a tragic incident, four people lost their lives in a devastating multi-vehicle crash on I-45 at Simpson Stuart Road in Dallas on a Saturday afternoon.
Dallas Police responded to the scene in the 9500 block of northbound I-45 around 1 p.m., where the fatal collision occurred.
Initial reports from the police suggested that a car traveling northbound on the interstate collided with another vehicle. This collision caused the first car to cross the median into southbound traffic, striking two vehicles in the southbound lanes before crashing into a guardrail and flipping over.
Tragically, three individuals inside the first vehicle lost their lives at the scene. Both drivers of the vehicles in the southbound lanes were rushed to the hospital, where one of them succumbed to their injuries.
The condition of the other driver in the southbound lanes remains unknown at this time as Dallas PD continues their investigation into the incident.
