Welcome to the CenterPoint Community Open House

Are you ready to make your voice heard? CenterPoint is inviting you to join them at the first open house event on Saturday, Aug. 17, at Tom Bass Community Center in the Pearland area from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is part of the Greater Houston Resiliency Initiative, aimed at improving customer service in response to the challenges faced during Hurricane Beryl.

CenterPoint President and CEO Jason Wells expressed the company’s commitment to change, stating, “We have heard the calls for change, and we are taking action now. We encourage all of our customers to share their experiences during Hurricane Beryl and provide ideas for how we can do better in the future.”

During the open house events, customers will have the opportunity to share their feedback on CenterPoint’s response to Hurricane Beryl. The CenterPoint team will also discuss the 40 actions they are taking to enhance future storm responses, including installing stronger poles, managing vegetation near power lines, and implementing automated devices to reduce outages.

CenterPoint has faced criticism for its storm preparedness and response post-Hurricane Beryl, with over two million customers experiencing prolonged power outages. To address these concerns and improve their services, CenterPoint is inviting all customers to participate in the Community Open House events.

• Saturday, August 17, 10 A.M. – 1 P.M.: Tom Bass Community Center in Houston
• Tuesday, August 20, 4 P.M. – 7 P.M.: Pledger Community Center in Matagorda County
• Thursday, August 22, 4 P.M. – 7 P.M.: Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena
