Justice for Johnny Wactor: Family and Friends Call for Action
Family and friends of actor Johnny Wactor are pleading with the public and officials to help find and convict his killers. Wactor, known for his role on “General Hospital,” was tragically shot on May 25 while trying to stop thieves from stealing the catalytic converter from his car in downtown Los Angeles. Despite the efforts of authorities, no arrests have been made.
At a emotional news conference outside Los Angeles City Hall, Scarlett Wactor, the actor’s mother, made a heartfelt plea for anyone with information to come forward. “It will help me and his brothers in our healing to know that they’ve been captured and convicted,” she said.
Police have also released surveillance images of three unidentified suspects and their getaway car in the hopes of generating leads in the case. The suspects were driving a stolen 2018 black Infiniti Q50.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Johnny Wactor had an impressive acting career, appearing in numerous films and TV series. His sudden and tragic death has left his family and fans in mourning.
Scarlett Wactor expressed her ongoing pain and loss, saying, “Grief is my constant companion. I can’t wish him happy birthday or ask if he’s coming home for Christmas. I can’t ask how his day went.”
The community and local leaders are also rallying for justice in Wactor’s case. City Councilman Kevin de León stated, “We want justice for Johnny and we shall have it.”
