Texans, listen up! We all know how much we love our beloved Buc-ee’s, with its irresistible beaver nuggets, mouth-watering beef jerky, and everything in between. But did you know that in a recent national study, Buc-ee’s didn’t quite snag the number one spot?

Surprisingly, the top position was claimed by Wawa, a famous East Coast convenience store chain, leaving Buc-ee’s in a respectable third place tie with Murphy USA. Quik Trip secured the second spot in this closely contested ranking.

What were the criteria for this study, you ask? Well, it was based on more than 5,000 responses focusing on factors like food quality and checkout speeds. Speaking of rankings, earlier this year the same study crowned H-E-B as the top supermarket in the entire country.
