For former Astros pitcher Greg Swindell, this nightmare became a reality when his daughter, Brenna Swindell Womack, disappeared from Austin, Texas. However, the story has a happy ending as Brenna was found safe and unharmed in Klamath Falls, Oregon, nearly 2,000 miles away from where she was last seen.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office responded to a family disturbance call involving Brenna and Guidry. Allegations of domestic violence were made, with Brenna accusing Guidry of choking her and expressing fear for her life.
Aug. 20
Brenna decided to press charges against Guidry, leading to the filing of a felony warrant for assault related to family violence.
Aug. 22
Brenna and Guidry were spotted together at a bar in Spicewood, Texas.
Aug. 24
Concerned for their daughter’s safety, Brenna’s parents requested a welfare check at her apartment, but both Brenna and her vehicle were missing.
Aug. 25
Greg Swindell reported his daughter missing to the Austin Police Department, triggering a nationwide search effort.
Aug. 27
In a twist of fate, Brenna was found in Klamath Falls after police officers there spotted her vehicle and pulled it over. Both Brenna and Guidry were inside, with Guidry being taken into custody. Thankfully, Brenna was unharmed.
