Exciting news for basketball fans in Houston! The BIG3 recently announced that energy executives Eric Mullins and Milton Carroll have acquired the rights to the third location-based BIG3 franchise and will be basing the team in Houston.
Set to take ownership for the 2025 season, Mullins and Carroll are gearing up for an exciting journey as they bring the BIG3 to Houston. This follows their earlier acquisitions of the LA and Miami-based franchises, setting the stage for an action-packed season ahead.

Ice Cube expressed his confidence in Mullins and Carroll, emphasizing their expertise and dedication to making the Houston BIG3 team a success.

Mullins, an alumnus of the 1984 Houston Oilers, currently serves as the chairman and CEO of Lime Rock Resources, with a rich background in oil and gas. On the other hand, Carroll, former executive chairman of CenterPoint Energy, brings over 20 years of leadership experience and a vested interest in the Houston Astros.
