After 36 years of anticipation, fans were thrilled to see the return of the mischievous ghost in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” The movie made an astounding $110 million in its opening weekend, setting a new record.

Directed by the iconic filmmaker Tim Burton, this long-awaited sequel captured the hearts of audiences, becoming the third-highest grossing film of the year so far, just behind “Inside Out 2” and “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

The stellar cast includes Michael Keaton reprising his role as Beetlejuice, alongside Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux.

Not only did “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” wow audiences, but it also became the second-highest grossing September movie ever, a title previously held by 2017’s “It.” The original “Beetlejuice,” released in 1988, had a modest opening but grew in popularity over time to become a cult classic.

This box office success of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” has set the stage for an exciting fall movie season, following a quieter summer at the theaters.
