Welcome to the latest buzz in Astros town! It was a moment of pure thievery when rookie Joe Loperfido made a jaw-dropping catch in right field during Friday night’s game against the Twins in Minnesota.
The Astros are riding high right now, with fortune favoring them. And Friday night was no exception. With a comfortable 10-5 lead over the Twins, Houston seemed to be cruising towards another victory.
But then, in the bottom of the eighth inning, Loperfido’s heroics stole the show. With a runner on base, the Twins’ Willi Castro hit a deep fly ball that seemed destined for extra bases. That’s when Loperfido leaped into action and made what MLB hailed as the catch of the year. It was a moment of pure brilliance that left fans in disbelief.
Despite an intense effort from the Twins to stage a comeback, the Astros held on to their lead and secured a thrilling 13-12 victory.
