Frank Fritz, the beloved antique aficionado from the hit reality show “American Pickers,” has passed away at the age of 60. Frank, who traveled the country in search of unique treasures, captured the hearts of viewers with his passion for history and collecting.
His longtime friend, Annette Oberlander, confirmed the news, revealing that Frank died on Monday night at a hospice facility in Davenport, Iowa. Annette also shared that she was by his side during his final moments, along with his co-star Mike Wolfe, who had been by Frank’s side for over a decade on the History Channel program.
In an emotional Instagram post, Mike Wolfe paid tribute to his friend, describing Frank as genuine and kind-hearted both on and off-camera. Frank’s impact extended far beyond the screen, touching the lives of many with his authenticity and warmth.
Frank had suffered a stroke in 2022 and never fully recovered, according to Annette. She mentioned that a celebration of life, potentially featuring a motorcycle run, is being planned for the spring to honor his memory.
Remembered for his loyalty and strong bonds, Frank leaves behind a legacy of cherished friendships that were a cornerstone of his life. Annette reflected on the profound impact Frank had on those around him, emphasizing his genuine connections with others.
