The Houston Texans Donate $1 Million to Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts
After securing a victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Houston Texans have announced a generous donation of $1 million towards Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
Hurricane Helene struck late Thursday as a devastating Category 4 hurricane on Florida’s Big Bend coast, before moving swiftly through Georgia and impacting the Carolinas and Tennessee. The storm has resulted in a tragic death toll of at least 84 people across multiple states.
In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, the Texans expressed their commitment to providing both immediate and long-term aid to those affected by the storm. Houston Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair stated, “Giving back is at the heart of who we are as an organization, and we hope our support will help provide resources to those in need throughout the region.”
Despite the challenges brought on by Hurricane Helene, the Texans continue to showcase their resilience on the field with a 3-1 record, maintaining their position atop the AFC South.
