Tragedy struck in Corpus Christi as 46-year-old Brandon Brown, a dedicated Kingsville Border Patrol agent, lost his life in a devastating head-on collision. According to Harold Mallory with DPS, Brown was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

This heartbreaking incident has left the community in mourning, as Brown, who served as an agent for nearly 21 years, was a respected member of the Border Patrol. Rod Kise, a public information officer, expressed condolences on behalf of the agency.

Details of the crash revealed that Brown was en route to work when 39-year-old Eva Rosa of Bishop drove into the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with the vehicle Brown was driving. Despite prompt medical attention, Brown could not be saved.

The tragic collision occurred on FM 70 near County Road 67, leaving both Brown and Rosa trapped in their vehicles until emergency responders arrived. Despite their best efforts, Brown’s condition remained critical and required extrication from his white 1998 Lexus ES.

Meanwhile, Rosa, who was driving a black vehicle, sustained injuries but remained conscious and communicative. The crash took place around 8:37 p.m., triggering a multi-agency response involving various law enforcement and emergency services.

As the investigation by the Corpus Christi Highway Patrol Office continues, the community mourns the loss of a dedicated agent and prays for the swift recovery of those affected by this tragic event.
