Help Available for Residents Evacuated from Deer Park Pipeline Fire
The recent fire at a pipeline in Deer Park has caused evacuations in the surrounding areas, impacting residents and schools. If you have been affected by the fire, there is help available specifically for residents evacuated from East of Luella Boulevard to Canada Road and from south of Spencer Highway to Oakhaven/Eagle Run.
Claims Line for Assistance
Energy Transfer, the company that owns the pipeline where the fire started, has set up a claims line to assist those affected by the incident. If you need help with overnight lodging expenses, per diem costs, or damages, you can call Energy Transfer’s helpline at 855-430-4491.
Full Statement from Energy Transfer
“We experienced an incident this morning in La Porte, Texas, at a valve station along Spencer Highway for a 20” natural gas liquids line that resulted in a fire. There are no reports of injuries at this time. The LaPorte Fire Department has evacuated all homes and businesses within a half mile of the incident site. The line has been isolated to safely burn out the residual product. We are working closely with local authorities to monitor the situation.”
