BOSTON – The alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of their tour following an onstage scuffle between lead singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro.

Videos captured Farrell lunging at Navarro during a concert in Boston, bumping him with his shoulder and taking a swing before being pulled away. The band apologized for the incident and announced the tour cancellation in a brief statement on Monday.

Known for hits such as “Jane Says” and “Been Caught Stealing”, Jane’s Addiction has played a significant role in the alternative rock and grunge music movements. The band has three top-five hits on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.

According to Farrell’s wife, Perry had been struggling with tinnitus and a sore throat, leading to frustration over stage volume drowning out his voice. This ultimately led to the emotional breakdown on stage.

The band’s “Imminent Redemption” tour, featuring opening act Love and Rockets, was scheduled to conclude in Los Angeles in October. This tour marked the first extended run of shows with the original lineup since 2010.
