Children thrown from car in San Antonio crash: Police

Tragedy struck on Interstate 35 in San Antonio as a tire blew out on an SUV carrying nine people, leading to a devastating crash. Among the passengers were six children between the ages of 2 and 11 who suffered very life-threatening injuries after being ejected from the vehicle. Unfortunately, it appears that they were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident. Additionally, two adults and another child were also hospitalized, with one child being the sole survivor who remained secure in the vehicle.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening at around 7:15 p.m. in the area of I-35 and Frost Bank Drive. The severity of the crash led to a closure of Northbound I-35 from Walters to Frost Bank Center Drive as authorities conducted their investigation. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
