Children Rescued from Hot Car in Cypress

A scary situation unfolded on Cypresswood Drive near the Northwest Freeway in Cypress when two children were found locked in a car on a hot day. The incident was reported to Precinct 4 around 2:51 p.m., and the children were rescued just 20 minutes later.

Despite the heat, the baby and toddler were thankfully unharmed. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) checked them out on-site before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The quick response likely prevented any serious injuries.

As of now, it’s unclear where the parents of the children were during this incident. However, Precinct 4 has stated that no criminal charges are currently pending in this case. It serves as a reminder of the dangers of leaving children unattended in vehicles, especially in hot weather.
