Attempted Kidnapping Reported in Far North Dallas

On Monday afternoon, a disturbing incident occurred in Far North Dallas, with an attempted kidnapping being reported by the police. The incident took place around 2:40 p.m. in the 16900 block of Old Pond Drive, near Campbell and Hillcrest roads.

According to reports from the police, a group of children was outside when they were approached by a young Hispanic male in a white SUV. The man asked one of the children to look at something in the back of his vehicle. Thankfully, the child ran away, but the suspect chased the child for a short distance before leaving the area.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and have released images of the suspect’s vehicle – a white Toyota Four-Runner with the Texas license plate THS9209. There is also a possibility of a second vehicle being involved, described as a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup truck.

The community is urged to stay vigilant, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police. Let’s all work together to keep our neighborhoods safe.
